EVENT: Topanga Canyon Gallery Studio TourWe're less than 2 weeks away from the 2017 Topanga Canyon Gallery Studio Tour! Last year's event was a success, and this year promises to be even better! With 5 artists showing at Patrick's property, there will be something for everyone: photography, painting, glass work and jewelry. The event is open Saturday, June 3, 10am-5pm and Sunday, June 4, 11am-5pm. A Silent Auction and Opening Reception will be held at the gallery on Saturday evening, from 5-8pm, where artists will have works on display, as well. Start your tour with us at the house on Chamera Lane at the top of the canyon. NEWS: Patrick at Calabasas Fine Arts FestivalThe weather may not have been on our side, but the Calabasas Fine Arts Festival was going strong at the Commons, where Patrick exhibited, including some new pieces. Some of the favorite works on display were Indigo Hands, Lunch Cart, Estranged, and Boy with Lotus- which caught the attention of a special customer: 16-year old Alex, an aspiring artist and the newest owner of the matted print! Thanks to all who came out and braved the rain! The show was a great success, and a lot of fun.
EVENT: Topanga Studio Tour 2017Patrick's home studio will be a stop on the 2017 annual Topanga Canyon Studio Tour again this year - with 4 guest artists! Patrick will be showing a lot of new pieces along with favorites. Four other artists will be sharing the bearutiful venue with their oil paintings, glass sculture and unique jewlery. The Tour takes place June 3 from 10 - 5 and June 4, from 11 - 5. Tketing and show inforamtion can be found at the Topanga Canyon Gallery website. EVENT: Gallery Reception in Topanga Canyon focused on ideasThe reception for Patrick's gallery show; "Contemplation; Art for Thought" generated a lot of interest.
Visitors found the selection of images invited both introspection and discussion. Conversations about the meaning of particular images and how perceptions differed were going on all during the reception.
For those who couldn't attend, the show continues through March 19. Patrick will be in the gallery himself Saturday afternoon, March 11 and Sunday afternoon March 19. The Gallery is at 120 N Topanga Canyon Blvd in Topanga CA; hours 11 - 6 Wednesday through Sunday.
EVENT: Contemplation: Art for Thought
Multi-media impressionist Rea Nagel and fine art photographer Patrick Ramsey are presenting "Contemplation: Art for Thought" at the Topanga Canyon Gallery March 1-19. The work is an invitation for reflection about vision, meaning and the world around us. Both artists have a long history of engagement in social and political movements which informs their perspective.
